I missed Friday Favorites last week but I’m back! Yaaay! You may have seen that I mentioned it on Instagram, (or a blog post? can’t remember) but our dog had surgery a couple weeks ago and she is STILL recovering from it. Unfortunately she may have to have another surgery on Tuesday to remove part of her tail… fingers crossed that she doesn’t & the healing continues. AHHH. Anyway, that has been eating up a big chunk of my time, so I haven’t gotten to post as frequently as I’d like to!
This week I am featuring three of my beauty favorites that I am using constantly. These have been in the rotation for the past few months (or longer!) so I can definitely vouch for how great they are 😉
First up are these Burt’s Bees facial cleansing towelettes. They are MAGIC! For the longest time I was too lazy to wash my face the “right” way, and these were by my side through it all. 😉 Nowadays, I usually do wash my face first, but I always use one of these as well & after I get out of the shower to get the rest of my eye make-up off. They are gentle on my sensitive skin and smell really good. I’m not the biggest cucumber fan but I enjoy the smell of these. They are sold at Target & pretty much everywhere but I put them on my subscribe & save on Amazon so I never have to worry about whether I am about to run out or not.
Next up is this FirmX Peeling Gel Exfoliant by Peter Thomas Roth. I’ve tried endless exfoliants and they are always way too harsh on my skin. This one, however, works great and doesn’t irritate my face. I usually use it about twice a week to get rid of dead skin – the best part is, it literally takes seconds to use. Squirt a little out, rub around your face, and it will instantly pick up all the dead skin and ball it up on your face. (Kind of gross, kind of amazing!) Then you just wash it all off and VOILA! Beautiful, soft, exfoliated skin. It’s a little on pricy side but I have had this one for at least 4 months and the bottle still feels full!
So prettyyyyy! When I first got this Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes palette I thought it may be a little too orange for my pale skin. I have been pleasantly surprised though how much I like it! I always start with a mix of peach meringue and peach butter for my entire lid, but mix it up for my crease. My favorites are peach tea, just peachy and peaches and cream. The colors blend really well and this palette looks brand new, even though I’ve been using it almost everyday for the past few months!
